If you change your cellular telephone service in Israel from Pelephone to another wireless carrier, this may mean that you have to notify all of your clients and friends of the new number. In the absence of number portability (rumored to be offered in Israel before the end of 2007) where you can take your old number to the new service, it may be easier to just call forward the old cell phone number on Pelephone to the new service number. Keep in mind that when you call forward any calls in Israel you are paying for the call between your old cell phone and your new cell phone.

To call forward, enter *73 + number + SEND

Example: *730525551212 SEND will forward the Pelephone to 052-555-1212 at Cellcom.

To un-forward, enter: *730 + SEND

You may want to contact Pelephone to make the call forwarding number one of your most called numbers to get a discount. Otherwise, you may spend lots of money on call forwarded calls.
